Guarantee

Warranty & Guarantee Information

When you purchase one of our sheds, wooden workshops, storage sheds, potting sheds, or summerhouses, you are protected by our warranty and anti-rot guarantee. Here’s what that means in clear terms:

Standard Warranty

  • We guarantee that your building will meet its specification and be free from defects in materials and workmanship.

  • This warranty applies for 12 months from the date you start using your building or 6 months from delivery, whichever comes first.

What’s Covered

  • Defects caused by issues in manufacturing or materials.

  • Buildings constructed and treated in line with our instructions.

  • For items we don’t manufacture ourselves (such as specific parts or fittings), you’ll be covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty.

What’s Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or poor maintenance.

  • Any alterations or repairs carried out without our approval.

  • Buildings not paid for in full by the agreed payment date.

15-Year Anti-Rot Guarantee

All of our timber buildings include a 15-year anti-rot guarantee against fungal decay and insect attack.

What’s Not Included

  • Natural movement, warping, or splitting of timber.

  • Damage caused by misuse.

  • Roofing felt, glazing materials, or joinery.

Guarantee Conditions

For the guarantee to remain valid:

  • The building must be constructed on a firm, level base with a damp-proof membrane.

  • It must be installed according to our instructions.

  • It should not be in direct contact with walls, trees, or bushes, as this encourages moisture damage.

  • The timber must be treated with wood preservative immediately after construction and at least once every 12 months.

  • Joints should be sealed with silicone and roofing felt maintained.

  • The building must not be customised or modified.

  • The guarantee only applies to the original purchaser and is valid in the UK only.

Delivery & Liability

  • If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, you must let us know immediately (or within 7 days if the issue was not visible on delivery).

  • Do not arrange third-party installation (such as electricians or builders) until you’ve checked the delivery is correct and complete.

  • We cannot accept responsibility for third-party costs due to delivery issues.

Situations Beyond Our Control

Sometimes delays or issues happen that are outside our control (known legally as “force majeure”). These include events like extreme weather, floods, fires, strikes, accidents, or government restrictions. In these cases, we are not held responsible for delays or failures in delivery.

Your Rights

Nothing in our warranty or guarantee affects your statutory consumer rights. If you are purchasing as a consumer, your legal protections remain fully in place.
